IMPORTANT NOTICE!
Garlic harvest time on Blue Moon Farm is approximately late May to early June. (note- Harvest was slow this year due to spring weather conditions, so everything is running a little behind. Shipping will also be slightly delayed.) We usually start shipping the end of July. There is only a limited supply of fresh Blue Moon Farm garlic, so we suggest ordering early to reserve your first preferences.
We reserve the right to substitute where we can't supply your first choice.
Please be patient for your order. We have no farm help this year and are getting to things as fast as we can!
Don't forget!! Our garlic powder is available year 'round through the mail. It's the next best thing to fresh!

GARLIC STORAGE- To preserve it for long-term use, store garlic bulbs in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area to maintain its perfect garlic flavor and prevent sprouting. Keep the garlic bulbs in a mesh bag or breathable container to ensure airflow. For extended shelf life, protect the garlic from direct sunlight and excess moisture.

- MUSIC- a Porcelain variety pioneered by Canadian Al Music. Rich strong garlicky flavor, 5-8 big, easy to peel cloves per bulb. An excellent roaster! A favorite of our market customers, and many Lexington chefs! Storage- late winter to early spring..
- CHESNOK RED- A Purple Stripe variety garlic from the Republic of Georgia with sweeter flavor, smaller cloves and 9-12 cloves per bulb. Beautiful purple clove wrappers. Rich, sweet flavor when cooked, medium-strong flavor raw. Storage- late winter to early spring.
- RUSSIAN RED- A Rocambole variety prized by chefs and home cooks alike for its rich, spicy flavor. Usually used cooked rather than raw. 6-8 cloves per bulb. 6 month storage.
Softnecks-
- CALIFORNIA EARLY- We have grown this Artichoke variety garlic since the beginning of our garlic journey! Mild yet rich flavor, it's our go-to for use raw in salads. Also delicious pickled! More than a dozen cloves per bulb. Good storage-.
- INCHELIUM- An Artichoke variety, discovered on the Colville Native American Reservation in Washington State.. It is a National Taste Test winner. A milder flavored garlic (one of Martha Stewart's favorites). 10 or more cloves per bulb. Storage- 6+ months.
